Meet Leviete Gibbs an aspiring entrepreneur and single mom on a mission to turn her dreams into reality.

Life has thrown many obstacles in Leviete direction but she has done her best conquer them, making sure that every mistake she makes is a lesson learned.

Having her son at 19 meant Leviete had to grow up pretty fast and face up to her responsibility.

Raising such a bright, imaginative and fun loving child is Leviete chance to mould and nurture the future heir to the soon to be Le Vita Couture empire. Being a single mom and a student was hard work for Leviete, achieving good grades at Uni without neglecting both the mommy daddy role at home…multitasking at its best! With 6 years at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham under her belt she is confident that she has enough knowledge and passion in designing and making fabulous jewellery to last her a lifetime.

Education: National Diploma (Precious Metals and Gemstones), Higher National Diploma (Jewellery and Silversmithing), BA HON (Jewellery and Silversmithing Design for Industry), AIR (Artist in Residence) Teaching.

 

Awards: Rowlinson Scholarship 2008, The Goldsmiths’ Company (Assay office London Technology award 2nd Prize) 2010 , Jewelcast (Award for casting) 2010, Delcam (Prize for Design for Industry) 2010.

Being one of the only members in her family to attend university Leviete is a diamond in the rough so to speak. This vivacious and bubbly young lady has a very positive and motivated outlook to life. She aims high and has great faith that with perseverance and dedication she will achieve her goal of creating a famous and renowned fashion empire starting with jewellery then progressing into accessories and clothing.

Becoming self employed and creating a successful business is not the easiest task to do, Even for the fortunate individuals that have investment and guidance at hand. So for Leviete the one man band with zero capital it is extremely tough just to complete the fundamental and essential tasks of a starting up a business: paying for business cards, building and maintaining an e-commerce website, along with production cost. Although they are all simple and straight forward tasks without funds these are all major obstacles that Leviete faces everyday.
All that being said this charming and charismatic young lady faces it all with a perfect red lipped smile knowing that all this hard work will pay off and one day soon she will indeed reap the seeds that she has so carefully sown.
