Hosted at Aero-Kick Gym in Birmingham, this free community wellbeing and sporting event brought people together for an uplifting day focused on mental wellbeing, fitness, and positive community connection.
Delivered in collaboration with BBC Radio 1Xtra, and hosted by Fee Mak as MC, the event created an energetic and welcoming atmosphere where individuals aged 18+ could take part in activities designed to support both physical and emotional wellbeing.
Participants were given the opportunity to experience kickboxing sessions in a safe and encouraging environment, helping many reconnect with their confidence, inner calm, and sense of balance through movement and exercise. The sessions promoted not only physical activity, but also the importance of managing stress, improving mental wellbeing, and building healthy routines through positive community engagement.
Music, movement, and shared experiences helped create strong connections between attendees, encouraging people to support and motivate one another throughout the day. The event successfully demonstrated how fitness and wellbeing activities can bring communities together while helping individuals feel empowered, energised, and more connected.
By the end of the event, attendees left feeling refreshed, uplifted, and inspired — with many gaining new confidence, improved wellbeing awareness, and a renewed sense of positivity and community spirit.
