On Monday 2nd December, we were proud to exhibit at the PURE Expo, a vibrant community-focused event dedicated to supporting individuals into education, training, and employment opportunities.
The event, held at Aston Villa’s stadium, Villa Park, provided an excellent opportunity to connect with residents, organisations, and community leaders who share a common commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. With over 600 attendees and more than 70 exhibitors present throughout the day, the expo created a powerful platform for collaboration, networking, and positive community engagement.

It was especially valuable to showcase The Waiting Room (TWR) and highlight the practical support and opportunities the directory can provide to individuals seeking guidance around education, training, wellbeing, and employment pathways.
The event also enabled us to strengthen existing relationships while building exciting new partnerships with organisations equally passionate about creating inclusive opportunities and improving outcomes for local people. Notable attendees, including Deputy Leader of Birmingham City Council, Sharon Thompson, helped reinforce the importance of partnership working and community-led support in driving positive change across Birmingham.
Overall, the day was a great success, helping to raise awareness of available community resources, strengthen local networks, and create new opportunities for collaboration that will continue to benefit residents long after the event itself.
